Championing social empowerment, youth participation, and community-first governance since 2016.
Early Life & Background
Born on February 22, 1993, in Abu Dhabi, H.E. Shamma bint Suhail bin Faris Al Mazrui grew up in a family deeply rooted in Emirati public life. Her father, Suhail bin Faris Ghanim Ateish Al Mazrui, is a prominent businessman whose commitment to nation-building instilled in her a profound sense of civic responsibility from an early age.
Raised in the cosmopolitan environment of Abu Dhabi, Shamma was shaped by the UAE's rapid transformation and its founding ethos — that a nation's greatest asset is its people. Her early exposure to both traditional Emirati values and global perspectives cultivated the dual lens through which she approaches public service: deeply local in commitment, genuinely global in vision.
She is married to Mubarak bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, and together they represent a new generation of Emirati leadership that bridges heritage with modernity.
